About me: a wine‑trained digital marketer

From the vineyard to the screen

I grew up in France and trained in the vineyard and the cellar. That training shapes how I market wine today: I understand what goes into every bottle, the pressure of harvest, and why a release date matters so much.

My marketing career started in Los Angeles, first at an agency and then running my own wine marketing consultancy. Californian wineries taught me how direct-to-consumer sales really work: wine clubs, allocation lists, tasting room visits and email programmes that keep people ordering.

In 2021 I moved to Eastbourne on the south coast of England. I've been self-employed for around ten years, and my longest client relationship has lasted all ten of them.

Franc Wine was previously Newtimer Marketing. Same person, same clients, and a name that finally says what I do.
